The Fort Heritage Precinct offers a variety of educational programs designed to support historical thinking, delivery, and synthesis of knowledge as outlined in the Alberta Social Studies Curriculum. The Dow Centennial Center offers activities and cultural events for just about every possible desire you may have. With over 170,000 square feet of leisure, fitness and cultural spaces, there is something for everyone at the Dow Centennial Centre. From the fitness centre to the full-size indoor soccer field, to the NHL size rink, it's easy to have fun while staying active. Not to be overlooked is the Shell Theatre located in the Sherritt Cultural Pavillion located within the Dow Center for professional series shows, drama productions, music concerts, dance festivals and recitals.
You won't believe your eyes but yes, there are sheep grazing throughout some areas of the city. They are part of the Sheep Grazing Program operated through the Fort Heritage Precinct that provides eco-friendly grass control during the summer months and then the sheep return to their pastures in the fall. before returning the following spring season.
